Mark impressed me with his passion for design as well as his knowledge of our industry; he is very adept at interpreting what his clients envision for their new medical premises and translating it into something that is both practical and aesthetically stunning.

Our new premises were an L shape, presenting us with challenges we had not faced previously. Mark was able to work with the shape rather than against it and create the superb practice fitout that we have today.

His turnaround times were exceptional and he worked within our schedule to minimise any impact on our existing business.

Being a busy doctor who works 7am to 7pm, it was a delight working with Mark. He not only tailored his phone consultations and correspondence to times that suited me, Mark also travelled from the Sunshine Coast to meet me at 6am for site visits to prevent disturbing my practice or my patients.

The initial concept of my new premises was created within 2 hours and was exactly what I wanted. I can be very fussy and would normally make a lot of changes, even in the middle of the building works, however Mark knew what I needed and only minimal changes were made before the final creation.

We had a fairly large space of 646sqm and Mark was able to tailor the area to fit the equipment and furniture that I desired; working with the somewhat difficult structural pillars in the middle of each room to create featured magazine racks.

I have received only positive feedback from visitors to our practice and would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking for a new designer.

When I first met Mark of McKibbin Design I had a distinct idea of what I wanted to achieve from the design process for a new practice concept I was working on. I had met with other designers who simply wanted to try and fit my requirements into their own styles and preconceived ideas. Mark was different – he listened intently to what I wanted to achieve and my often abstract examples and references.

Not only did Mark have an uncanny ability to decipher my desired outcome, but added to the process with insightful suggestions and design cues. When Mark presented the first draft of his concept drawings I was astonished how close they resembled what I had envisioned.

The detailed plans and drawings that subsequently followed where highly accurate and the feedback received from the builders confirmed their high standard. Ultimately the concept and dental design process of this project was visionary, enjoyable and was carried out with ease and enthusiasm.

In the past 2 years, McKibbin Design has designed in excess of 10 medical and dental tenancies for AEG.

Mark was brilliant in developing the design to meet the project brief and budget. Mark is unique in the industry with good knowledge about dental workflow as well as building design. The tender drawings and specification integrated all aspects such as hydraulics, electrical and mechanical in addition to the standard architectural drawings. The detailed design allowed the builders to submit a clean tender and avoided variations during the constriction phase.
